Mind Body & Spirits, an eco-conscious restaurant in Rochester, Mich., has recently joined the less than 12 restaurants in the country that are certified organic by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Oregon Tilth, a third-party nonprofit organization supporting biologically sound and socially equitable agriculture, audited Mind Body & Spirit to be sure it is adhering to strict guidelines for the handling and storage of every product that enters the restaurant. Each item must be kept out of contact with any toxic, artificial or otherwise harmful substances.
