On Sept. 30, Clyde's Restaurant Group (CRG) hosted the finals of its 11th Annual Hand Washing Competition Team Rally at Clyde's at Mark Center in Alexandria, Va. The winning team, which came from CRG's Old Ebbitt Grill, Washington, D.C., was awarded $1,200 in cash. More than $3,000 in total cash prizes were given out.
The event was the culmination of preliminary hand washing competitions throughout September for managers and employees at the 11 CRG restaurants. September is National Food Safety Education Month, and each year, Clyde's prepares its staff for virus season through the competition. Teams were judged on time, knowledge and effective cleansing.
