Jackie Shen, executive chef of the Pan-Asian restaurant Red Light in Chicago, was recognized today as a Chicago magazine 2008 Chicagoan of the Year. Shen's philanthropic and fund-raising efforts in the city include LaRabida Children's Hospital, Esperanza Community Services and the local animal pound.
